About The Position

The Manufacturing Associate Assembly 1 will be responsible for performing basic manufacturing operations in which tasks are well established. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: learning how to build cable assemblies or build other items as required, and reporting work in the manufacturing software.

Requirements

• Up to one year of manufacturing experience or related experience.
• High school Diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Some manufacturing environment experience.
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, minimum.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail).
• Manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements).
• Ability to stand for periods up to 4 hours.
• Ability to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance.
• Ability to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses.
• Must be able to commute to Binghamton, NY.

Nice To Haves

• Should know what a drawing/blueprint is and will be involved in blueprint reading training.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic manufacturing operations.
• Retain all training.
• Read and follow written manufacturing instructions.
• Use basic measuring equipment.
• Use all assigned hand tools properly.
• Learn area specific tools based on assignment.
• Follow and obey all company policies and procedures.
• Learn how to build cable assemblies or build other items as required.
• Report work in the manufacturing software.
• Be a team player.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or special projects.
