About The Position

LeMaitre Vascular is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant to help manufacture life- and limb-saving medical devices. The company is willing to train candidates interested in working in a cleanroom production environment. The position involves manufacturing and packaging medical devices using various equipment, following written specifications and manufacturing instructions, and meeting company quality standards and production rates.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.
Good eyesight, hand dexterity and coordination, and attention to detail.
Ability to use small tools, microscopes, chemicals, and tabletop equipment.
Ability to sit and wear cleanroom garments for extended periods during the shift.
Ability to perform frequent repetitive motions.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in an environment with background noise.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical device assembly experience is preferred; the company is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Cut, clean, and stretch thin biological tissues using a small die-cutting press, scissors, forceps, and fixtures.
Pour, rinse, and wash biological tissues with chemicals.
Pack medical devices.
Work in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom while wearing masks, smocks, gloves, and shoe covers.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing instructions.
Follow written specifications and manufacturing instructions to assemble a variety of medical devices.
Evaluate product assembly against company quality standards.
Complete quality work at department- or production-determined rates.
Support other manufacturing tasks as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Designee.
