About The Position

Teledyne Micropac is seeking an experienced assembler who has the ability to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications. Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process. Must be able to read and follow build instructions, including understanding of process documents, Bill of Materials and assembly drawings and complete paperwork as required. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications. Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential. Assist with training as required. Hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and coating specifically under the microscopes. Inspect completed work to quality requirements. If overtime is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide employees with adequate advance notice, however, sometimes overtime may be mandatory.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing assembly or production environment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope.
  • Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
  • A solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control).
  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer skills.
