About The Position

The goal of this position is to hire an entry level maintenance person. The apprentice will have minimal maintenance background but has experience in a closely related field and mechanical aptitude. The maintenance apprentice focus will be on preventive maintenance and minor projects. The apprentice will assist techs on trouble calls and major repairs as well. They will learn and grow their skills by taking notes and working closely with veteran technicians. They will use manuals to gain knowledge about PM tasks and give input on changes to the program. The apprentice will enter and maintain records using CMMS software and enter work orders for follow up actions. This position will require availability for weekend and off shift work. This person will have high level of personal accountability. They will take ownership of their machines and take pride in their performance and their esthetic condition. This will be achieved by communicating with EE, leads, management, and research using CMMS history. They will follow all safety protocols and maintain good attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks with a high level of detail.
  • Cleaning and testing inspecting equipment.
  • Assisting technicians on trouble calls and major repairs.
  • Learning and growing skills by taking notes and working closely with veteran technicians.
  • Using manuals to gain knowledge about PM tasks and giving input on changes to the program.
  • Entering and maintaining records using CMMS software.
  • Entering work orders for follow up actions.

  • Communicating with employees, leads, management, and research using CMMS history.
