About The Position
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst (A2) to support the Sentinel Program in Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The selected candidate will support Manufacturing Engineering and Standard Tooling teams across the program, utilizing a unique skill set and hands-on approach in areas such as planning, continuous improvement, material management, process optimization, and liaison. The final grade level offered will be based on suitable applicant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience or a High school diploma / Equivalent with 6 years experience
- Ability to work on-site in Huntsville Alabama
- Experience with manufacturing planning
- Familiar with tooling and calibration or other similar experience
- Familiar with manufacturing process
- Experience with SAP/ERP or other related inventory management system
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope

- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office skills
- AS9100 audit preparation
- Root Cause analysis
- Tool Crib and tool calibration experience
- Experience with aluminum structures assembly
- Defense industry experience
- Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers and vendors
- Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Responsibilities
- Submission and follow-up on rapid request orders (RRO’s) for industrial supplies
- Generate reports to identify aging tool replacements needed
- Lead aging tool removal processes
- Monitor aging checkouts of tools by mechanics and send out appropriate notifications
- Coordinate new tool deliveries including new consumable delivery system for new areas
- Manage fly away and non fly away consumable inventory levels
- Communicate with production teams regarding newly designated areas for assets
