About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturer Machinist to join our team in Libertyville, IL. This position is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining a variety of machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. This role requires interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure components meet exact tolerances and quality standards. The Machinist may work with manual machines, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, or a combination of both.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, machining processes, and measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to handle machinery and materials safely.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with CNC programming and operation is a plus.
• 1+ year of warehouse or manufacturing picking experience preferred.
• Experience in lighting or electrical component handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC and/or machines including mills, grinders, drills, hand tools, breaks and presses.
• Measure and inspect finished products using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Document production and inspection results accurately.
