About The Position

This position involves setting up and operating manual weld machines, downloading programs, and ensuring proper materials and tooling are used. The Manual Welder will review weld requirements from blueprints, load and locate parts, and perform welding according to customer specifications. Responsibilities also include removing weld spatter and scale, conducting quality checks, maintaining equipment, and keeping the work area clean. The role may involve other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Able to read and understand basic blueprints and weld instructions.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or One year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions.
• Verifies proper filler, tooling, and gas flow is prepared in the robot or staged in manual area per set up instructions.
• Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, etc.).
• Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Welds parts per customer provided prints.
• Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Performs quality checks per set up sheet.
• Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
