About The Position
Our client is seeking a Manual QA professional to support testing operations. The candidate will be responsible for test execution, bug investigation, and cross-functional collaboration within a technical environment.
Requirements
- Willingness to work in the office daily.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional interactions.
- Collaborate on feature bring-up with engineers.
- Handle ad-hoc requests from other teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies and test plans for new products and features.
- Author test cases and manage test run creation and assignment.
- Perform bug review, de-duplication, and triage.
- Provide regular test status reporting.
- Maintain test cases by adding new cases to existing areas and editing existing cases for accuracy.
- Review bug reports submitted by other team members.
- Perform targeted ad-hoc testing of undocumented areas.
- Execute test cases and investigate software and hardware bugs.
- Verify bug fixes and report findings.
- Utilize test tools for debugging or investigation, such as Visual Studio, gdb, Android Studio, or adb.
- Create clear and concise reports.
- Review logs to derive the root cause of bugs.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Demonstrate competency with command line tools.
- Utilize commonly used bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
