About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating manual machines in a machine shop environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in precision measuring techniques and use of measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of machine tool operation, setup, and maintenance.
  • Manual machine operation, precision measuring, and blueprint reading are essential for accurately producing parts that meet design specifications.
  • Daily use of machine tools and manual lathes demands a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Deburring skills ensure that finished parts are safe and free of imperfections, which is critical for product reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain manual machines for the R&D department to fabricate precision parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Perform precision measuring and inspection of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machine tools to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Deburr and finish machined parts to meet quality and safety standards before final assembly or shipment.
