About The Position

Safely and accurately perform various machining processes, maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO), and operate a range of machinery including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, VTLs, surface grinders, horizontal mills, honing tools, and saws. This role involves machining nozzles, discs, broken studs, flanges, seats, trim, and gear operator segments. The duties may be adjusted based on management discretion, business needs, customer demands, and other job-related circumstances.

Requirements

High School or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years in the valve repair industry.
TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
Tenacious.
Professionally Articulate.
Professional in appearance and actions.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and verbalize in a professional, organized manner.
Highly inquisitive about industrial process industry.
Successful in interfacing with customers, internal and external.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
Self-Starter and Self-Directed.
Ability to hear alarms.
Ability to Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Technical/Trade School preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely and accurately perform machining processes.
Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO).
Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field.
Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press.
Hone internal bores.
Use magnetic drill for stud removal.
Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats.
Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.).
Machine seats and trim (gate, globe, and check valves).
Machine gear operator segments.
Operate milling machine, VTL, drill press, surface grinder, horizontal mill, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap Master.
