Manual Machinist - 1st Shift

American Crane & Equipment Corporation•Amity Township, PA
•$25 - $34•Onsite

About The Position

American Crane & Equipment Corporation is hiring a full-time, on-site Manual Machinist for its manufacturing shop in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. The role produces custom, low-volume components for overhead cranes and hoists. The machinist sets up and operates manual and CNC machines, works from engineering blueprints, and is accountable for producing precision parts that meet specified tolerances. The work involves varied custom jobs rather than repetitive high-volume production. It requires understanding steel and other material characteristics, selecting appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling, applying trigonometry and geometry, and inspecting work with precision measuring instruments. The machinist also maintains equipment and tooling, keeps the work area safe and organized, follows shop safety procedures, and coordinates with coworkers and leadership to meet production goals. The position is on-site at 531 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, PA 19518. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM; a closing note also lists 5:30 AM–1:30 PM and 40 hours per week. Overtime may be needed. Pay is up to $34 per hour, based on experience, skills, market data, and other relevant factors. Employment is contingent on meeting the stated work authorization, screening, access, and job-function requirements.
