About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist for a temp-to-hire position in New Iberia, LA. The role involves operating various manual machining equipment to perform repairs and overhauls on compressor components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating their own setups, reading technical drawings, and using precision measuring instruments. Safety adherence is paramount.
Requirements
- Experience with VTL
- Experience with Manual Lathe
- Experience with Drill Press
- Experience with Bridgeport Knee Mill
- Experience with Horizontal Boring Mill (48x30" BT 50 Holder)
- Ability to create own set up
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficient in the use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Must pass background check and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with compressor component repairs and overhauls
- Ability to work in metric
- Have own tools
Responsibilities
