About The Position
Soles Electric is looking for a talented Manual Machinist to join their team in Fairmont, WV. This person would primarily be responsible for assisting with machining, fabrication and maintenance of the machine shop.
Requirements
- 2+ years of machining experience
- Ability to read and understand job work orders
- Familiarity with 3 & 4 jaw chucks
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to be a team player and help other departments when needed
Nice To Haves
- Vo Tech/ Tech School training
- Welding is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes
- Set up and operate lathes/milling machines.
- OD & ID threading
- Read blueprints and create simple drawings.
- Use all types of micrometers to maintain tolerances.
- Reverse engineer simple parts.
- Machine multiple types of materials; bronze, steel, aluminum.
- Operate tow motor, cranes, presses, and other related equipment.
