Requirements

Average math skills.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
Ability to complete simple logs and reports in English.
Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies.
Stamina to consistently stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
Ability to learn fundamental machining concepts.
Proficiency in using measuring devices.
Ability to work closely with other team members, including supervisors.
Attention to detail.
Commitment to dependability and consistent performance.
Flexibility to respond effectively to shifting production demands.

Responsibilities

Follow production instructions and tasks from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions.
Align and secure machine fixtures such as dies, punches, blades.
Set up and operate machinery including lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.
Monitor production processes to ensure machines function correctly and products meet quality standards.
Perform inspections and measurements of finished products using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing PPE and using a crane or buddy system for heavy parts.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
