Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Exemptions to the Canadian government to grant temporary residents/international students access to their export controlled goods is required and takes a minimum of 2 months from offer acceptance for processing. This may delay start dates for candidates on temporary work permits.

Responsibilities

  • For all assigned work, set up and operate all bearing assembly and measuring equipment, including but not limited to radial play units, flushness and contact angle measurement units, riveting equipment and staking press.
  • Set up and operate all part/component washing equipment as required.
  • Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
  • Perform inspection on own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
  • Train other operators as needed.
  • May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a process for others to operate.
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
