Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check.
  • Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, including CNC or manually controlled equipment.
  • Perform problem solving and trouble shoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process/machine.
  • Routinely check process/machine for basic maintenance and take correction action in a timely matter.
  • Perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
  • Train other operators as needed.
  • May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Position requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required duties.
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix, and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
