About The Position

This position is responsible for aiding the Receiving Supervisor in all aspects of the receiving tasks to be performed. This position will ensure that HACCP standards are maintained and strictly enforced; ensure that all documentation is gathered and checked and that all safety aspects are adhered to while work is being performed on the receiving dock area. This position will also assist production supervisors in ironing out any discrepancies found within the facilities raw material inventory thru the receiving supervisor. When the receiving supervisor is absent, this position will ensure that orders are entered into the computer properly and that the BOL's are turned in at the end of their shift. On occasion, this position may be required to move trailers in and out of the dock door when the need arises. All team members will be HACCP trained and be able to receive incoming raw material when the rest of the team is not on shift.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Raw receiving and/or Material Handling experience.
Forklift experience.
Basic computer skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be physically able to lift up to 85 lbs on an ongoing basis.
No written warnings within the previous six (6) months (for internal candidates).
No written warning with suspensions within the previous twelve (12) months (for internal candidates).
Must not have five (5) or more attendance points (for internal candidates).
Must have satisfactorily completed probationary period with Tyson Foods (for internal candidates).
Must complete a six (6) month period on previous successful bid unless bidding for a higher classification (for internal candidates).
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Aid the Receiving Supervisor in all aspects of receiving tasks.

Assist production supervisors in resolving discrepancies in raw material inventory.
Ensure orders are entered into the computer properly and BOLs are turned in at the end of the shift when the receiving supervisor is absent.
Move trailers in and out of the dock door when the need arises.
Receive incoming raw material when the rest of the team is not on shift.
