About The Position

The Manifestor keeps track of all incoming and outgoing products and assists in all related functions in record keeping requirements and inventory. This role is responsible for scanning pallets to accurately capture proper case count, weights, and dates, documenting numbers and codes per pallet, and creating a label for the pallet. The Manifestor ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames or record keeping requirements and verifies that pallets and labels are correct and sent to the right destination. Additionally, the Manifestor participates as a member of the Team, contributing to ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. This includes coordinating work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members and attending appropriate team meetings. The role requires familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understanding the responsibility to maintain this familiarity and the position’s role in supporting these systems, considering the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The position also involves performing other duties as necessary in support of business objectives, with the understanding that the description guides activities but does not limit creativity or the scope of required work.

Requirements

Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team.
Std waterproof gloves, hearing protection, chemical resistant apron & gloves, face shield, reinforced toed footwear.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in shipping and receiving, working with large moving equipment.
Preference for poultry or food processing organization.
Military experience

Responsibilities

Scans pallets to accurately capture proper case count, weights and dates.
Documents numbers and codes per pallet.
Creates a label for the pallet.
Ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames or record keeping requirements.
Verifies pallets and labels are correct and sent to the right destination.
Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues.
Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues.
Actively looks for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
