Mandarin Private Lessons Teacher
About The Position
Kingsley Montessori School is seeking a Mandarin Private Lessons Teacher for their After School Program, beginning September 2026. This role is for teaching beginner and intermediate students in Grades K-6 (ages 5-12). The ideal candidate will have experience working with and teaching very young students and will take a holistic approach to education. This includes thorough instruction in vocabulary, grammar, syntax, pronunciation, reading and writing comprehension, and the integration of cultural components. Students will be guided to take ownership of their own practice regimen. The hours are flexible, varying between 3-6 PM Monday-Friday, based on enrollment and teacher availability. Teachers will conduct one-on-one weekly lessons.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
- Experience working with and teaching very young students is required.
- Demonstration of fluency
Responsibilities
- Give one-on-one weekly lessons to each of their scheduled students.
- Emphasize thorough instruction in vocabulary, grammar and syntax, pronunciation, and reading and writing comprehension.
- Integrate cultural components into lessons.
- Guide students to take ownership of their own practice regimen.
