About The Position

Exponent is seeking a talented and motivated Managing Scientist with consulting experience to join our Health Sciences Practice in select offices across the United States. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to lead and provide scientific support on a wide range of projects addressing human health risks associated with environmental, occupational, consumer, and other exposures. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant to partner with our senior staff and subject matter experts to grow their consulting practice.

Requirements

  • M.P.H. or M.S. degree in Environmental & Occupational Epidemiology
  • Minimum 10 years of experience consulting in the health sciences space, including specifically in the context of litigation
  • Proven ability to build and nurture meaningful client relationships that drive project growth and expansion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management experience, including coordinating tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of technical projects
  • A commitment to professional growth
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.

Responsibilities

  • Applying expertise in health sciences to address and support complex human health challenges for clients
  • Building and cultivating strong client relationships
  • Driving consulting business growth by identifying new opportunities through project delivery, client engagement, and participation in professional development activities
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scientifically rigorous and impactful solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Performing literature reviews and analyses related to specific diseases, exposures, and health outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development and authorship of complex technical reports and publications
  • Supporting project planning and execution
  • Participating in occasional travel for client meetings, site inspections, and professional development activities
  • Mentoring junior staff by providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment
