About The Position

The platform inspires over 300 million people monthly in over 55 countries and empowers event creators with data and technology. Fever has partnered with major industry leaders like Netflix, F.C. Barcelona, and Primavera Sound. The Secret Media Network is a digital media group within Fever focused on recommending plans, discovering places, and sharing relevant news in various cities globally, including Secret London, Secret Chicago, Secret LA, and more. This role is crucial in helping Fever achieve its mission by contributing to the growth and innovation of the Secret Media Network.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working for a newsroom, content agency, creative agency, or digital media property
  • Proficient level of English
  • Deep passion for journalism, social media, and digital marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to the fast-moving digital startup environment
  • Strong attention to detail, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership skills, comfortable managing and supporting a team
  • Hands-on knowledge and understanding of the current social media landscape (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of digital media trends and what makes content popular online
  • Regularly staying up-to-date with digital technology trends and emerging patterns in media
  • Comfortable identifying and tracking relevant community KPIs and drawing conclusions from data

Responsibilities

  • Managing a growing team of enthusiastic writers, video producers, and social media creatives
  • Conducting 1-on-1 management, ensuring clear workflows, and providing individual feedback
  • Developing and maintaining high editorial standards, adhering to the brand's identity and tone of voice
  • Maximizing exposure for city presences in the Central US and Canada markets through media strategies and event coverage, collaborating with social media, editorial, video, PR, creative, legal, and marketing teams
  • Leading and guiding the team to grow, inspire, and reach new audiences
  • Liaising with regional Managing Editors and the Executive Editor of North America to share feedback, best practices, and set strategies for managed cities
  • Collating and interpreting data for cities in the region based on SMN's internal KPIs to inform future strategy
  • Identifying editorial partnership opportunities to expand SMN content's reach
  • Representing Secret Media Network at key press events and media gatherings
  • Working with the legal team to coordinate contracts and Terms & Conditions
  • Leading the hiring process for new writers, video producers, and social media creatives in the Central US and Canada region
