About The Position

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. First Citizens Middle Market Banking delivers a range of financial solutions to midsize clients through a relationship banking model. The business offers deposit solutions, loans, treasury services and other banking products to manufacturers, distributors and a wide variety of service industries. The Director Role is the primary contact to provide products and services which support the unique financial needs of clients. This position collaborates with various corporate partners to build and manage full banking relationships. May act as resource for less experienced associates or as a team lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge

  • MBA, Business Administration, Finance, Economics
  • 8 years of Middle Market Banking and/or Corporate Banking experience

Responsibilities

  • Originate and cultivate middle market banking relationships positioning the Bank as the primary / lead bank.
  • Delivers a full suite of commercial banking products and services including loans, deposits, treasury management services, interest rate products, capital markets, wealth management and other fee income business.
  • Serve as the primary relationship management contact identifying client needs, working with internal industry verticals and product owners to structure customized solutions and ensure high quality service.
  • Understand market, pricing and industry trends operating as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Work collaboratively across the Bank delivering commercial and consumer products and services.
  • Leverage the Bank's digital & technology platforms to deliver exceptional client service.
  • In coordination with marketing, design and execute on targeted marketing efforts on centers of influence and client events.
  • Have in-depth understanding of credit worthiness of clients and bank credit policies to be able to represent them in internal discussions.
  • Focus on ensuring compliance with all regulatory and compliance policies of the Bank.
