Leads, directs and coordinates the day-to-day management of the project. This role involves leading the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring regular feedback is provided to staff. The Project Manager is responsible for managing and developing assigned staff towards maximum job performance and career potential, and for developing and improving client relationships to foster a "trusted advisor" status. The position requires a thorough understanding and administration of Turner's contract and subcontract agreements, providing leadership to positively influence change, and promoting Turner's involvement in the community. Fostering and enhancing architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations is key, as is establishing, updating, and communicating the Master Project Schedule and managing its implementation. The role may involve working with the preconstruction team in project development, managing the budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to the project budget, and managing the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program. Leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions is expected, along with understanding, complying with, and advising others on Turner's business ethics and compliance programs. The Project Manager must demonstrate a high standard of personal accountability and integrity, mentoring staff to the same high standards. Management and oversight of field operations and engineering processes and procedures are required, as is driving competencies within the team regarding insurance, labor relations, and employee relations. Enforcement of safety protocols by project staff is crucial. Collaboration with Finance to initiate the Pay Application process and ensure timely payment is necessary. Keeping management informed of project and budget progress through regularly scheduled Operations Review Meetings is a key responsibility. The role also involves supporting and driving the utilization of various Turner initiatives, promoting and utilizing emerging technologies and innovations to support Turner's sustainable competitive advantages, and providing leadership to foster an environment of diversity and inclusion.
