The Managing Director of Business Development is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving strategic revenue growth through leadership of the business development function and expansion of key customer relationships for Evans’ agent-model transportation business. This role supports the growth of Evans’ end-user service capabilities, including drayage, truckload, and 3PL solutions, while leveraging and supporting the company’s agent-based operating model. This position is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies that increase revenue, margin, customer retention, and market penetration. The Managing Director of Business Development will lead, coach, and support a growing team of business development professionals, while also leveraging strategic relationships and providing executive-level support on high-value opportunities and key customer initiatives. This role is intended to be more heavily focused on leadership, coaching, and strategic relationship development than on high-volume individual prospecting activity.
