About The Position

Abramson Labor Group is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to lead and supervise its Workers’ Compensation practice. This role involves working directly with the Managing Partner, overseeing attorneys and support staff, and ensuring exceptional case handling and strategy. Unlike typical managing attorney positions, this role has no billable hour requirements, no rigid performance metrics, and no status update letter quotas, allowing the focus to be on leadership, mentoring, and winning cases.

Requirements

  • JD and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 8–12 years of Workers’ Compensation experience (Applicant & Defense mix preferred).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Workers’ Compensation department, ensuring strong case strategies and client service.
  • Provide guidance on complex legal matters, case evaluations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop attorneys to maintain consistent, high-quality representation.
  • Step in for trials, hearings, and negotiations as needed.
  • Conduct client educational webinars and address escalated client matters.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture.
