About The Position
EY Parthenon is seeking a Manager for their Deals Transaction Analytics team. This role involves providing data analytics-driven solutions to enhance client decision-making, particularly in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence. The position requires producing financial and market intelligence through data querying and reporting, devising methods for identifying data patterns and trends, and analyzing large, complex datasets to build sophisticated transaction-driven analyses. The Manager will present findings to clients and leadership in an understandable manner, use data to solve complex challenges, and continuously research industry trends and technologies to provide insights on cash flow requirements. The role also includes managing and motivating teams, delivering quality client services, demonstrating technical capabilities, maintaining client relationships, and cultivating business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.
- Alternatively, Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 3 years of related work experience.
- 3 years of experience leveraging accounting skills, of which 1 year must be in a mergers and acquisition-oriented environment.
- 3 years of combined experience analysing data for financial due diligence and/or audit.
- 3 years of experience working with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, or other software to perform data analysis intelligence and reporting functions.
- 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following: Data visualization (D3js, Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, and/or related); Data Management (Hadoop, SQL, Alteryx, and/or related); Analytics Platforms (SAS, Azure, and/or related); Statistical Packages (SPSS, Minitab, and/or related); Programming languages (Python, R, and/or related).

Responsibilities
- Provide data analytics-driven solutions that enhance our client’s decision-making including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence.
- Produce financial and/or market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports.
- Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources.
- Analyze large and complex datasets and build sophisticated transaction driven analysis to help address our client’s challenges in fast-changing markets.
- Present findings to clients and leadership in a way that is easily understood by transaction professionals at all levels.
- Use data to solve complex challenges.
- Constantly research industry trends and technologies, as well as seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements to provide knowledge and insight to clients.
- Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
