About The Position

The Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity and availability of essential health care products, directly impacting patient care and operational continuity. The Manager, Warehouse Operations will lead a team to optimize inventory control, streamline logistics processes, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The Manager, Warehouse Operations will collaborate closely with procurement, internal departments, and external vendors to align warehouse operations with organizational goals. Ultimately, this position ensures that the warehouse functions as a reliable hub supporting the timely delivery of health care services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably within the health care industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
  • Relevant experience may substitute educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or Business Management.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems integration related to inventory management.
  • Experience managing cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive medical products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of medical supplies.
  • Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the warehouse.
  • Manage warehouse staff by providing training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate with procurement and clinical teams to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, shipments, and order fulfillment.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
