About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Manager plays a vital role in managing the warehouse operation and accuracy of warehouse inventories for plumbing support services. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing warehouse operation, inventory management, team development, problem-solving, reporting and analysis to ensure all work is performed on schedule and to the highest standards. Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record (5 years)
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience
  • 3+ years in warehouse leadership
  • Ability to stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for periods of time
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer and Internet related skills (MS Office, Excel, Gmail, etc.)
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment requiring physical labor throughout the day
  • Must be a self-starter with good communication skills
  • Must be efficient with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work without supervision once trained, self-disciplined
  • Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Ability to maintain a professional distance with co-workers to be an effective leader.

Nice To Haves

  • 2- or 4-year Warehouse Management degree
  • Familiarity with plumbing materials and tools to support technical inquiries and correct stocking.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain an efficient physical layout and bin assignment strategy for warehouse layout, bin locations, and material flow.
  • Enforce receiving procedures, verify shipments, document discrepancies, and manage vendor follow-up for receiving accuracy and vendor coordination.
  • Own the cycle count schedule, investigate variances, authorize adjustments, and drive accuracy improvements for inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Manage picking workflows, stage materials for jobs, and ensure on-time dispatch to the field for work order picking and job staging.
  • Plan and execute truck replenishment cycles, verify manifests, and confirm trucks depart fully stocked for installer truck stock replenishment.
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and discipline staff; set KPIs and enforce safety standards for leadership of warehouse staff and daily warehouse operations.
  • Produce regular reports on inventory levels, receiving accuracy, picking productivity, and replenishment; implement process changes to reduce errors and cost for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Rapidly address damaged inventory, shortages, or logistical bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions for issue resolution and escalation.
