About The Position

The Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for leading the daily execution of warehouse and transportation activities at the Green Pointe distribution facility. This includes receiving, picking, shipping, inventory movement, and oversight of local transportation operations supporting multiple internal brands. This role provides direct and indirect leadership to approximately 10–15 full-time non-exempt associates and 3–4 CDL drivers, with oversight of up to 75 seasonal employees during peak periods. The Manager drives operational excellence across warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation systems, and cross-facility material flow between Columbus-area sites, wholesale customers, and direct-to-consumer shipments. Success in this role requires strong operational acumen, financial discipline, talent development capability, and the ability to scale processes to support enterprise growth and seasonal complexity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution leadership experience
  • Experience leading teams in multi-shift, multi-site, or high-volume distribution environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing seasonal workforce fluctuations
  • Working knowledge of WMS and transportation/shipping systems
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience in food, CPG, or high-volume fulfillment environments
  • Exposure to automation or warehouse systems optimization initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, picking, shipping, and inter-facility transfers
  • Oversee transportation execution, including supervision and coordination of 3–4 CDL drivers (CDL not required for role)
  • Manage merchandise flow between Columbus-area facilities and outbound shipments to wholesale and direct consumers
  • Ensure optimal utilization of WMS, TMS, and shipping systems across multiple brands
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks impacting service levels, cost, and compliance
  • Directly and indirectly supervise 10–15 full-time associates and scale workforce to support seasonal headcount up to 75+
  • Build a performance-driven culture centered on accountability, safety, and execution excellence
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, performance management, and structured development planning
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to forecast workforce needs and proactively plan for peak staffing
  • Manage daily operations within budgetary targets
  • Identify financial variance risks and implement corrective action plans
  • Monitor KPIs including productivity, accuracy, cost per unit, on-time shipping, and transportation performance
  • Drive cost control while maintaining service excellence and compliance
  • Serve as primary liaison across production, inventory control, maintenance, shipping, brand partners, store operations, and third-party carriers (e.g., FedEx)
  • Lead post-season reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in enterprise growth initiatives including automation, capacity expansion, and technology optimization
  • Lead brand and enterprise-level projects as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with employee safety standards, GMP, SQF, and security practices
  • Enforce onboarding, safety, and training program adherence
  • Promote a culture of food safety and operational integrity
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment
