Manager, Volunteer Services - Fox Chase Cancer Center
About The Position
The Manager, Volunteer Services provides leadership to Volunteer Services (Resources) in support of the mission of Fox Chase Cancer Center. The role ensures that volunteer assignments in AOH/FCCC complement the quality of care for patients, families, and caregivers while offering satisfying opportunities for community members. It also ensures that volunteer needs in ICR departments are filled in a timely manner to support principal investigators or laboratories and to provide educational experiences for students, postdoctoral researchers, and visiting scientists. The manager ensures compliance with The Joint Commission requirements, hospital and health system policies and procedures, and government regulations related to volunteers in healthcare. The role also promotes a culture of appreciation and recognition for volunteers among colleagues, supporting volunteer satisfaction and awareness of the value volunteers bring to the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Three years of experience in volunteer administration and nonprofit management required.
- General experience conducting volunteer orientation and other presentations to management and community groups or events required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (Cert Admin Volunteer Services).
