About The Position

As a Volunteer Services Manager, you will implement volunteer programs to assist staff in upholding our mission, vision, and values. Daily, you will manage volunteer recruiting, training, and scheduling, ensuring adequate support. You will also provide volunteers for community outreach and assist the Director in deploying initiatives, integrating community support for patient care and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a passion for community engagement, effective recruitment/motivation, and alignment of volunteer efforts with organizational goals. Manages all operational and fiscal activities for Volunteer Services, Gift Shop, Guest Services and grants. Develops effective and innovative recruiting, placement, and recognition strategies to ensure an adequate cohort of volunteers is available to staff new and existing service areas. Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources to develop new proposals and initiatives promoting volunteer and guest service development. Leads the development, integration, and execution of successful, innovative programs for staff and volunteers. Uses established and best practice methods to select, orient and on-board new employees and volunteers. Supervises paid staff and volunteers, conducts performance reviews and initiates disciplinary action as appropriate. Monitors and analyzes program development and implementation. Reviews relevant documents and reports. Identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions. Works collaboratively with relevant parties to solve problems, identify solutions and track follow-up actions. Serves as an effective leader, communicator and educator. Creates developmental opportunities for direct reports by establishing goals, coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Of Science in health care, human services or business related field, upon hire or
