About The Position

Manager V, Materials Program Management is responsible for overseeing all materials/ supply chain operations globally. This role involves establishing and ensuring adherence to best practice policies and procedures, and developing, implementing, and managing best practice material handling in support of shop floor lean manufacturing and lean logistics initiatives. The position also focuses on establishing and implementing methods and best practices related to systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control. The role requires developing, implementing, and tracking Materials Management metrics, performing root cause analysis, and taking actions to improve any metric not meeting targeted goals. Additionally, the Manager V develops strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness of Warehouse operations, including inventory management/staging, material handling processes, quality, and logistics. They develop operating guidelines, policies, and procedures for inventory and warehousing, monitor overall inventory accuracy for all locations, and develop action plans with direct reports to resolve issues and improve processes. Ensuring inventory controls are in place at all locations and establishing inventory and warehousing performance measures are key responsibilities. The role represents the materials organization on corporate materials task force teams, manages the department budget, associated costs, and resources, and participates as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions. Collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets is essential. The Manager V selects, evaluates, and manages employees to ensure the efficient operations of the function.
