About The Position

The Manager, UM Administration contributes to the administration of utilization management. The Manager, UM Administration works within specific guidelines and procedures, applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems, and receives assignments in the form of goals and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals. The Manager, UM Administration provides non-clinical support for the procedures, ensuring the best treatment, care, or services for members. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving their own departmental area. Requires cross-departmental collaboration, conducts briefings and area meetings, and maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Requirements

  • Prior demonstrated experience with process improvement or process design and implementation roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and database software proficiency.
  • Progressive experience in the health service industry, healthcare finance or healthcare related consulting.
  • Experience with strategic planning, customer retention programs, and primary and secondary research processes.
  • Strategic thinking and business planning capabilities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Willingness to manage and prioritize diverse projects & reports.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in an operational setting
  • Experience with economic, financial and operational concepts
  • Previous management experience in a call center setting
