About The Position

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager, Treasury Management Solutions to manage and lead the Treasury Solutions department and provide operational support to the Treasury line of business. The manager oversees staff and Treasury operational processes, maintains and updates department processes, and manages daily operations while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. The role also develops performance metrics, supports special projects including bank acquisitions, communicates operational information and changes to Treasury staff, maintains procedures, partners with other departments to support operational soundness, and provides expertise to the Treasury line of business.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
At least five years of operations, treasury management, or retail experience in a banking environment or a related field.
At least one year of experience managing others.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Management and training experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead the Treasury Solutions department by training, coaching, and guiding staff.
Manage Treasury operational processes and day-to-day department operations.
Maintain and update Treasury Operations processes.
Review processes and identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency.
Develop and implement performance metrics to achieve optimal staff utilization.
Lead or participate in special projects as needed, including bank acquisitions.
Create or manage timely, professional communications to Treasury line of business staff about operational information and changes.
Create or maintain operations procedures.
Partner with Operations, Bank Protection, Compliance, Audit, and other departments to ensure operational soundness.
Provide support and subject-matter expertise to the Treasury line of business.
