About The Position

The Security Transport Manager oversees and performs security and dispatching for delivery vehicles. The role manages security transport staff and their schedules, workflows, and assignments; monitors dispensary security cameras and activity, dispatch requests, and active delivery routes; and supervises the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. The manager also develops and conducts staff training, implements security protocols, helps maintain a safe and secure workplace, controls access to restricted areas, follows and recommends updates to SOPs, and conducts facility walkthroughs and security inspections. Additional related and administrative duties may be assigned. The position is performed in a warehouse environment. It involves frequent stationary work and movement, standing for most of the work time, occasional handling of packages weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasional work at heights, on ladders, or on scaffolding. The employee may encounter changing temperatures and humidity, pollen, dust, dander, moving mechanical parts, and electrical-shock risk.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Four years of experience managing a team of onsite security personnel.
Extensive knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to train others on security policies and procedures.
Comfort with confidential and classified information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.
Ability to stand for at least six hours per day and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be at least 21 years old and able to successfully register with the state cannabis commission as an agent.
Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Ability to meet the position’s physical and mental requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Interview, hire, and train security transport staff.
Monitor and oversee dispensary security cameras and activity.
Review dispatch records for incoming requests.
Supervise the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Monitor active delivery routes taken by drivers.
Oversee daily workflows, schedules, and assignments for security transport staff.
Prepare and conduct training for new hires and current staff, including workplace safety and security topics.
Provide or implement security and security transport protocols for the company and its information systems.
Take proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment for staff and visitors.
Provide specialized security for, and monitor access to, limited- and restricted-access areas such as inventory and loading areas.
Follow existing SOPs and suggest updates as needed.
Conduct regular walkthroughs and security inspections of assigned facilities.
Assist with coordination of office procedures and new policies, and distribute information from upper management.
Perform administrative duties and other related duties as assigned.
