About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting the Director in the overall Surveillance operations, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the Surveillance department. The Manager will supervise the surveillance of VLT operations, guests, team members, drops and monetary transactions. This position requires interaction and communication with other department managers and regulatory personnel, as well as overseeing department personnel including hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. The role also involves overseeing schedules and assignments, maintaining files and reports, and overseeing the training of Surveillance employees. Additionally, the Manager will oversee Surveillance investigations, assist in determining equipment needs and installation of cameras, review expansion projects for sufficient camera coverage, assist in preparing and monitoring the department operating budget, and perform the duties of a Surveillance Observer as required. The position requires attending and participating in meetings and performing work regularly and predictably.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA)
  • A minimum of five to seven years gaming experience
  • Three to five years casino surveillance experience
  • Significant knowledge in casino operations
  • Minimum three years supervisory or management experience required
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous, organized and accurate
  • Extreme confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with a variety of computer systems and applications.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Director in the overall Surveillance operations.
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the Surveillance department.
  • Supervising the surveillance of VLT operations, guests, team members, drops and monetary transactions.
  • Interacting and communicating with other department managers and all other regulatory personnel when necessary.
  • Overseeing department personnel including hiring, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing schedules and assignments; maintains files and reports prepared for Surveillance as needed to implement gaming operations.
  • Overseeing training of the Surveillance employees and establishing internal policies and procedures for the staff.
  • Overseeing Surveillance investigations of all types.
  • Assisting in reviews, analyzes and determining equipment needs and installation of cameras, and working with applicable vendors to manage projects and ensure all needs and expectations are met.
  • Reviewing any expansion projects and ensuring sufficient camera coverage and proper placement.
  • Assisting and preparing department operating budget, monitoring progress and taking action on budget variance items.
  • Performing the duties of a Surveillance Observer as required.
  • Attending and participating in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Performing work regularly and predictably.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
