About The Position

The Manager Supply Chain is responsible for managing supply chain functions, which may include production planning, forecasting, material procurement, inventory control, warehousing, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and/or distribution. Will manage supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
  • 8+ years progressive supply chain or logistics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
  • Periodic travel is required, including the potential for international travel
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation and reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and continuously improves functions or assigned functions of supply chain.
  • Develop forecasting, inventory management and supplier capacity management to ensure optimum and cost-effective product availability.
  • Assures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Maintains records and data essential to material programs including materials resource planning.
  • Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
  • Participates in supplier and vendor negotiations.
  • Reports on metrics that drive value for the business.
  • Executes the strategic plan for supply chain, including supplier management, internal & external collaborative relationships and cost structure.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team of individual contributors.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
