About The Position

The Supply Chain Operations Manager I provides leadership for multiple departments and/or one hospital with $10+ million in annual supply spend. This position oversees all supply chain functions to include, but not limited to, inventory management, receiving, distribution, par management, laundry linen services, performance improvement, and procurement. This position is responsible for developing and implementing KPIs, service level metrics, and processes to support hospital operations. The Supply Chain Operations Manager I is also responsible for driving continuous improvement activities and ensuring that end to end supply chain functions meet and/or exceed the needs of the customer. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Provides operational leadership and guidance to integrated, system level transformational projects; ensures scalability and sustainability across service lines (Perioperative Services, Med Surge, Cardiac Cath Labs, Interventional Radiology, Laundry and Linen, etc.) Develops and implements plans and activities to drive workforce efficiencies that align to hospital goals and objectives; identifies potential financial and operational risks, and implements mitigation plans for more multiple departments and/or a hospital. Adjusts organizational structure to support current and future business unit requirements; recruits and develops talent to support transformation projects and initiatives; builds and maintains a highly inclusive and engaged culture with a focus on optimal organizational health. Collaborates with clinicians, distributors, suppliers, and various management level staff to ensure the optimization of inventory levels and that service levels are maintained; identifies operational and supply cost opportunities; implements saving & cost avoidance measures. Utilizes and deploys business intelligence from multiple inventory management and enterprise resource planning systems (People Soft, Syft, Wavemark, Tableau, etc.) to make actionable decisions to add value and efficiencies for BJC supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience required
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience required
  • 6-9 years of Applicable Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
