About The Position

The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for managing day‑to‑day supply chain execution, including planning, inventory control, logistics, and order fulfillment. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of products while optimizing inventory, controlling costs, mitigating operational risks, and supporting performance targets. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, planning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in chemical distribution or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Exposure to global or international supply chain operations strongly preferred.
  • ERP systems (SAP / S/4HANA preferred)
  • General ERP order, inventory, and logistics modules
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Manages inventory and provides customer support and commercial assistance for allocated products.
  • Acts as liaison and internal focal point for customers, suppliers, and the company.
  • Oversees the entire order lifecycle and works closely with internal stakeholders to satisfy customer and supplier requirements.
  • Provides customer service/support and builds business relationships.
  • Coordinates and supports commercial and logistics activities for allocated product(s).
  • Reviews, documents, and communicates customer and supplier requirements as outlined in contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinates sample requests and quality control activities as required.
  • Enters, processes, and transfers purchase and sales orders, including entry of expected costs that are associated with orders.
  • Answers inquiries from internal and external partners regarding shipment status.
  • Coordinates shipment transportation with external carriers procured from the strategic logistics team.
  • Reviews, creates, and validates individual shipment paperwork.
  • Identifies solutions to supply chain operational constraints.
  • Voices constraints or inefficiencies with processes internally.
  • Tracks, traces, and manages railcar fleet if applicable for allocated product(s).
  • Responsible for inventory control, planning, and reconciliation in coordination with Product Management.
  • Coordinates internal inventory adjustments including repackaging, sampling, and surveying.
  • Invoices and administers outgoing sales as well as any corresponding debit or credit notes for additional charges.
  • Approves or investigates supplier invoices through our doc capture system as well as any corresponding debit or credit notes.
  • Enters and investigates and resolves non-conformances and claims in conjunction with Quality, Product Management, and Logistics.
  • Maintains purchase and sales archives in accordance with ISO 9001.
  • Completes End of Month responsibilities such as on-time reporting of inventory, review/correction of expected costs, full completion of monthly purchases, transfer and sales orders, and invoicing for monthly shipments.
  • Issues returns (purchase and sale) in the system as needed once approved by Senior SCOM.
  • Attends commercial meetings as needed.
  • Participates in specific projects during the year as a part of team collaboration and to continue process improvements.
