About The Position

The 3PL Day Operations Manager provides direct tactical oversight of a contracted Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partner during the assigned shift. The manager monitors shift performance in real time, addresses immediate operational bottlenecks, and captures accurate data to support long-term vendor management strategies. The position spends approximately 70–80% of the shift on the warehouse floor, observing 3PL labor, monitoring dock activity, verifying picking and packing pace, and resolving bottlenecks. It also monitors WMS order queues, audits outbound shipment quality and safety practices, oversees inbound and outbound freight processes, and prepares end-of-shift reporting and handoffs.
