About The Position

AMCP is seeking a passionate, organized, and relationship-focused professional to join our team as Manager, Student Pharmacist & New Practitioner Programs. In this role, you will help shape the experiences of future pharmacists and early-career professionals by developing programs, building engagement opportunities, and fostering meaningful connections across schools of pharmacy, residency programs, and AMCP's national network. The Manager, Student Pharmacist & New Practitioner Programs leads AMCP's initiatives designed to engage, support, and develop student pharmacists, residents, fellows, and new practitioners. This role serves as a key resource for student chapters, faculty advisors, volunteer diplomats, and emerging professionals while creating programs and experiences that strengthen member engagement and advance AMCP's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, association management systems (AMS), CRM platforms, and social media tools.
  • Commitment to advancing the organization’s desired culture, which focuses on collaboration, high performance, accountability, respect, and trust.

  • Experience working within healthcare, professional associations, nonprofit organizations, scientific organizations, or membership-based environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage AMCP's student pharmacist programs, including student chapters, the Chapter Leadership Academy, mock interviews, Residency Showcase, and student programming at national meetings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, engage, and retain student, resident, fellow, and new practitioner members.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to student chapter leaders and faculty advisors, providing guidance on chapter management, recruitment, and engagement best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build and enhance programming that supports the career growth and professional development of new practitioners.
  • Manage the Student Pharmacist Committee, Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee, Diplomat Program, and Faculty Advisor network.
  • Recruit, coach, and support volunteer diplomats who serve as resources for schools of pharmacy and student chapters.
  • Foster strong relationships with pharmacists, faculty members, residents, and other stakeholders to support AMCP initiatives.
  • Develop and manage targeted newsletters and communications for students, residents, fellows, diplomats, faculty advisors, and new practitioners.
  • Oversee student, resident, and new practitioner online communities and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage content for AMCP's student-focused webpages and social media channels, including LinkedIn.
  • Support the creation of orientation, training, and engagement materials for volunteers and members.
  • Oversee AMCP's APPE intern rotation program, including applications, onboarding, contracts, preceptor coordination, and syllabus updates.
  • Maintain online school profiles, residency opportunities, and related resources.
  • Coordinate educational tours, learning experiences, and outreach opportunities for schools and residency programs.
  • Manage chapter mailings, graduation cords, certificates, and other recognition programs.
  • Support member service inquiries and collaborate across departments to ensure a positive member experience.
