Manager, Strategy and Business Operations

Stelumar Advanced Manufacturing Inc.
$85,000 - $130,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Manager, Strategy and Business Operations plays a key role in shaping the commercial strategy for the Housing Solutions business and owns the system that converts that strategy into performance. The role defines how SAMI prices modular housing, which opportunities the business pursues, how partnership and product economics are structured, and where the business concentrates as it scales. It then operationalizes that strategy across the order pipeline, the factory, and the P&L - sequencing production, resolving trade-offs across Operations, Finance, and Product, and building the planning infrastructure the business depends on. It is a high-ownership generalist position for a candidate with strong commercial judgment, structured problem-solving, and the credibility to drive cross-functional decisions.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, commercial planning, or operations planning.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills, commercial and financial acumen, and the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Experience building processes, tools, or operating models in scaling or ambiguous environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP, order management, or business reporting systems.

  • Direct integrated planning across the order pipeline, factory capacity, and financial plan, determining what the business builds and in what sequence.
  • Convert booked and pipeline demand into capacity and prioritization plans with Operations, and resolve competing priorities across Operations, Finance, and Product.
  • Own the reporting and analysis on margin, orderbook, and unit economics that informs leadership decisions, underpinned by disciplined forecasting and pipeline visibility.
  • Build the tools, dashboards, and processes that establish integrated planning as a repeatable, scalable system.
  • Lead high-priority commercial and operational initiatives end to end as a thought partner to leadership.
