About The Position

Responsible for developing and managing strategic supplier relationships and a portfolio of high-value global contracts, leveraging market intelligence and supply chain best practices to deliver optimal business value. This role leads commercial negotiations, mitigates contractual risk, and serves as the primary liaison between suppliers, Global Supply Chain, project leadership, executive management, and internal stakeholders to drive performance, collaboration, and value creation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and five (5) years of experience in supply chain and/or contract negotiation/development, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Contract Management, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related field, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Contract Management , Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Attendance at monthly in-office meetings at the Phoenix Hub location is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years’ experience in negotiations with large multi-national companies working with their senior level leadership.
  • Significant experience in managing multiple $100M+ categories in the Mining, Industrial, Heavy Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, EPCM industries
  • Experience with Supply Chain Modules in SAP and other Contract Management Systems
  • Significant experience interacting with and presenting to Senior & C Suite level leadership as a Category Subject Matter Expert

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global category strategies for Engineering and Construction services, utilizing spend analytics, market intelligence, cost modeling, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies to optimize sourcing decisions, reduce costs, and maximize value across capital projects.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with contractors, suppliers, project teams, and Global Supply Chain stakeholders, fostering collaboration, driving supplier performance, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and project requirements.
  • Lead contract governance, procurement strategy, and commercial negotiations for complex agreements, ensuring competitive pricing, risk mitigation, contract compliance, and continuous improvement of procurement processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with estimating teams and key stakeholders to deliver market intelligence, cost analysis, performance reporting, and strategic insights that support data-driven decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to supply chain and contracting professionals by establishing best practices, guiding category management initiatives, and advancing sourcing, procurement, and supplier management capabilities across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required.
