The Manager Spiritual Care is responsible for performing daily spiritual care visitation, ensuring appropriate response and follow-up on all referrals from clinical nursing areas, and maintaining on-call coverage. This role involves supervising assigned team members, volunteers, and students, and fostering liaison with faith group leaders visiting patients. The manager will also manage the budget for the assigned facility, facilitate and teach Spiritual Care Groups, and, if required, manage the Advance Directives process. Additionally, they will maintain pertinent spiritual care records, participate in departmental and facility meetings, round on patients within their clinical responsibility, and provide in-service education. The role includes managing the orientation of educational program students and maintaining the confidentiality of all spiritual care work and conversations, working collaboratively as part of the care team.
