The Manager Spiritual Care is responsible for performing daily spiritual care visitation, ensuring appropriate response and follow-up on all referrals from clinical nursing areas, and maintaining on-call coverage. This role involves supervising assigned team members, volunteers, and students, and working to establish appropriate liaison with faith group leaders visiting patients. The Manager also manages the budget for the assigned facility, facilitates and teaches Spiritual Care Groups, and, if required by the facility, manages the Advance Directives process. They maintain pertinent spiritual care records, participate in departmental and facility meetings, and round on patients within their clinical responsibility. Additionally, they provide in-service education, manage the orientation of educational program students, and maintain confidentiality of all spiritual care work and conversations. The role requires working collaboratively as part of the care team in groups and team meetings.
