The Associate Director Spiritual Care and Education is responsible for coordinating budgetary development for the department, assisting in formulating policies and plans for programs sensitive to the service needs of the institution, and developing relevant interdisciplinary in-service education programs. This role also coordinates clinical assignments to ensure coverage, organizes and initiates the recruitment of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students, consults with prospective students, and maintains contact with seminary representatives. The Associate Director participates in the orientation of CPE students regarding administrative aspects of the program, such as policies and fee payment, and serves as a resource person. Additionally, the role involves performing daily chaplain visits with patients and family members.
