About The Position
The Manager, Sourcing leads strategic sourcing initiatives by managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring product quality and timely delivery. The role collaborates with retail teams and global partners to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, mitigate risks, and optimize costs. The manager oversees supplier assessments, factory capabilities, and capacity planning, guides team members, and drives continuous improvement through digital tools and innovative practices. The sourcing team supports Household Essentials by partnering with merchants and planners, managing supplier relationships and contracts, and ensuring product quality and supply continuity. The team analyzes market trends and performance metrics to promote innovation and operational excellence, while emphasizing collaboration, ethical practices, and talent development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management within complex supply chains.
- Strong negotiation skills to achieve cost-effective sourcing solutions while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Ability to assess supplier capabilities, conduct evaluations, and develop supplier matrices for assigned categories.
- Expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Knowledge of trade, political issues, and market dynamics impacting sourcing decisions.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
- Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and data analytics to optimize procurement activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related area and 3 years’ experience in sourcing; OR 5 years’ experience in sourcing, Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related areas.
- Bilingual in English and one or more languages used to transact business in the assigned country.
- Project Management certification.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives and product specifications.

- Collaborate with retail teams, merchandise quality engineers, and global supply management to optimize sourcing solutions.
- Lead sourcing initiatives and projects, coaching and guiding team members on best practices.
- Monitor factory capabilities and capacity through visits and data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Address pricing, quality, and production issues while mitigating risks and maintaining profitability.
- Promote continuous improvement by leveraging digital tools and industry knowledge.
