About The Position

PredictHQ turns event data into demand intelligence. Our customers use us to understand how real-world events affect their business, and our Solutions Engineering team is responsible for proving that value fast, getting customers integrated, and making sure what was promised in sales actually lands in production. As Solutions Engineering Manager, you'll lead our team of Solutions Engineers who own the full customer technical journey: from pre-sales evaluations and POCs through to onboarding, activation, and expansion. Your job is to make that team excellent. You'll build the frameworks and processes that enable great SEs to scale, coach your team to do their best work, and step in personally for complex, strategic accounts or when coverage is needed. Reporting to the CRO and partnering with the CTO. The role sits at the intersection of commercial and technical, keeping the two aligned as we grow.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience as a Solutions or Sales Engineer. You know the work from the inside and can credibly support, develop, and cover for your team.
  • Management experience with direct reports; you've held accountability for a team's performance and development.
  • Proven success guiding enterprise customers through pre-sales evaluations, onboarding, and scale.
  • API and data fluency: comfortable with API-centric and data pipeline architectures, able to discuss integration patterns and translate technical complexity into business value.
  • Practical experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Azure, or Snowflake, and comfort with large-scale database integrations.
  • Python experience: able to build, read, and adjust scripts to support customer integrations and internal tooling.
  • Communication that lands equally well with a C-suite or an engineering team.
  • Decisive and direct: willing to make calls, hold positions under pressure, and give clear direction

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in demand forecasting, time-series modelling, or applied analytics.
  • Background in an industry that PredictHQ serves: hospitality, retail, CPG, or similar.
  • Experience building SE playbooks, onboarding frameworks, or scalable technical content from scratch.
  • Comfort working in a team where SEs carry post-sale responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a high-performing SE team operating model for three Solutions Engineers, including clear role expectations, coaching rhythms, performance standards, and escalation paths that improve consistency across evaluations, onboarding, and expansion.
  • Make decisions clearly and hold the team to them, including pushing back when shortcuts would create problems for customers or the business.
  • Step in as the technical lead on complex or strategic accounts, and provide cover when team members are unavailable.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to align on pipeline, deal prioritisation, and how SEs engage across the sales cycle.
  • Partner with the CTO so technical delivery reflects product direction and customer learnings feed back into the roadmap.
  • Lead the technical conversation in enterprise customer meetings, comfortable presenting to a C-suite or to engineering teams.
  • Own the SE team's customer onboarding process end-to-end: design the steps, enforce them consistently, and continuously improve time-to-value.
  • Define and maintain standards for Customer Solution Architecture, the blueprint that carries a customer from discovery through to activation.
  • Identify gaps in how we evaluate, onboard, and support customers; propose solutions and see them through to implementation.
  • Feed SE learnings into GTM processes and product strategy, acting as a connective layer between what happens in the field and what gets built.
