About The Position

Pebl is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager for its Growth organization. The manager will lead a high-impact team working on user acquisition, activation, or retention initiatives for customer-facing products. The role combines engineering leadership with active participation in coding, code review, and architecture, and includes building scalable, reliable, and extensible systems with React, TypeScript, and AWS. The manager will also advance AI-native engineering practices by incorporating tools such as Claude Code into the development workflow.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of formal engineering management experience leading a team of engineers.
• Proven full-stack development expertise, particularly with React, TypeScript, and AWS, including services such as Lambda, ECS, and RDS.
• Demonstrated ability to use LLM-integrated agents, specifically Claude Code, to improve software development lifecycle speed and code quality.
• Experience delivering customer-facing SaaS products with a focus on metrics-driven growth, conversion, and user experience.
• Ability to explain complex technical and AI-related trade-offs as actionable plans for leadership and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for the team and participate in the development lifecycle by coding, reviewing code, and architecting solutions.
• Promote an AI-first engineering culture by integrating Claude Code and other LLM harnesses into daily workflows.
• Partner with product management and data teams to define the technical roadmap for acquisition and retention goals.
• Ensure the team's systems use modern, scalable architecture built with React, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, balancing human-led mentorship with AI-augmented professional development.
• Maintain high standards for observability, stability, and quality across experiments and product features.
• Foster in-person collaboration at the Palo Alto office Monday through Wednesday.
