About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position integrated within a customer's location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to ensure positive and profitable customer relationships that contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

The Site Manager leads onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions, manages site performance and contractual commitments, and ensures customer service and payment terms are maintained. The position also requires working in varied warehouse and customer-site conditions, which may include physical inventory handling and operating around hazardous materials.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in outside or inside supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
• Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of recognizing manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver cost savings.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including a strong understanding of interpreting and managing to profit and loss statement expectations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment as required.
• May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications, written and/or driving.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance and regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with indirect materials.
• At least 2 years of staff management experience and a proven track record as a team leader, with a solid understanding of people management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions.
• Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Manage the site's P&L statement and ensure local integrated supply site sales and profitability goals meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Drive contractual customer commitments at the local integrated supply site, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in providing service to external and internal customers.
• Ensure the local integrated supply customer pays Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
• Handle and work physical inventory according to standard operating and safety procedures.
